Lionel Messi is still a doubt for biggest game for Barcelona this season but he has been training with the reserves and might well be on the bench for Saturday’s game. He has trained throughout this week and will most likely make a substitute appearance in the second half if his services are required.
However, Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic is most likely going to be missing from Luis Enrique’s plans on Saturday as he continues to recover from a calf injury he picked up during Barca’s clash with BATE Borisov in the Champions League. Rafinha (knee) remains a long term absentee from the squad.
