Copa America preview for the match between Argentina vs Colombia
Out of the four Quarter Finals, this looks to be the 'biggest' as two of the top four favourites to win the Copa America meet earlier than expected. Argentina won Group B as expected, but Colombia were surprisingly one of the best third place finishers and that meant they had to be paired with the favourites in this Quarter Final.
Team News:
Argentina
Argentina head coach Gerardo Martino has his strongest XI available to him after escaping the group stags without injuries or suspensions.
Colombia
Colombia will be without Carlos Sánchez against Argentina after the Aston Villa midfielder picked up his second booking of the group stages in their last match against Peru.
Head coach José Pékerman will also be without Sánchez's defensive midfield partner Edwin Valencia after he was stretchered off in the first half against Peru and has subsquently been ruled out for up to six months with a knee injury.
Possible Starting Lineup:
Argentina: Romero; Marcos Rojo, Nicolas Otamendi, Ezaquel Garay, Paulo Zabaleta; Biglia, Javier Pastore, Javier Mascherano; Angel Di Maria, Sergio Aguero, Lionel Messi.
Colombia: David Ospina; Jeison Murillo, Cristian Zapata, Pablo Armero, Santiago Arias; Alexander Meija, Edwin Cardona, James Rodriguez, Juan Cuadrado, Teofilo Gutierrez; Radamel Falcao.
