Preview match & Team News:

Barcelona go into the El Classico encounter against Real Madrid pretty much wounded but still firing on all cylinders with Suarez and Neymar playing at top of their game. Lionel Messi is still a doubt for biggest game for Barcelona this season but he has been training with the reserves and might well be on the bench for Saturday’s game. Real Madrid trail Barcelona by three points after their disappointing loss in the hands of Sevilla over the last weekend.

Real Madrid vs Barcelona Possible Lineups:

Real Madrid starting lineup (4-3-3 formation): Navas; Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo; Modric, Isco, Kroos; Benzema, Bale, Ronaldo

Barcelona starting lineup (4-3-3 formation): Bravo; Alves, Pique, Mathieu, Alba; Roberto, Busquets, Iniesta; Munir, Suárez, Neymar

 Real Madrid Team news:
Real Madrid are coming here after their first defeat in a competitive game this season, 2-3 vs Sevilla two weeks ago away from home.
The Galactics have 24 points after the first 11 league matches, losing the leading position after the last defeat.
Now they are on the second place, three points behind Barcelona, but still with the best goal difference in the country, 26-7.
Their home record is really good, with four wins and only one draw so far.
More than that, Real Madrid scored 12 goals at home, conceding only one.
The good news is that Rafa Benitez has no missing player for El Clasico and he will field the best starting XI.

 Barcelona Team news:
Fans could not have been treated to news better than their superstar Lionel Messi’s return from a knee injury suffered during a La Liga game against newly promoted Las Palmas in September. He has trained throughout this week and will most likely make a substitute appearance in the second half if his services are required.
However, Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic is most likely going to be missing from Luis Enrique’s plans on Saturday as he continues to recover from a calf injury he picked up during Barca’s clash with BATE Borisov in the Champions League. Rafinha (knee) remains a long term absentee from the squad.

Copa America preview for the match between Argentina vs Colombia

Out of the four Quarter Finals, this looks to be the 'biggest' as two of the top four favourites to win the Copa America meet earlier than expected. Argentina won Group B as expected, but Colombia were surprisingly one of the best third place finishers and that meant they had to be paired with the favourites in this Quarter Final.

Colombia
Colombia will be without Carlos Sánchez against Argentina after the Aston Villa midfielder picked up his second booking of the group stages in their last match against Peru.

Every season, Bayern Munich seem to run into at least one major rematch in the UEFA Champions League. Now, for the fourth year in a row, a Spanish giant stands between them and a trip to the Champions League final.

This time it is Barcelona, a team they humiliated 7-0 two years ago en route to the first European treble in German football history. Now Barcelona will get their chance at revenge, as well as a chance to take down the manager who left the club three years ago before taking a job at their German foe six months later.

Team News

Barcelona

Luis Enrique is set to name the same XI that beat Cordoba on Saturday, with Jordi Alba expected to shake off a slight niggle.

Bayern Munich

Pep Guardiola is not so lucky, with a long list of injuries and a few key ones heading into the trip to Spain.

Left-back David Alaba will be lucky to play a game again this season, whilst Holger Badstuber is out for the season.

Javi Martínez has only just made his return after being out for most of the season, it would be a surprise to see the Spaniard feature in this one.

Arjen Robben is out for the season with a calf injury whilst Franck Ribery is a doubt for this match having been troubled with an ankle injury.

Robert Lewandowski is also a doubt, with a broken nose.

Possible starting

Possible Barcelona Team Line-up :
Bravo , Pique , Alves , Mascherano , Rakitic , Busquets , Inesta , Neymar , Messi , Suarez

Possible Barcelona Team Line-up :
Nevuer , Martinz , Dante , Rafinha , Strieder , Gaudino , Lahm , Weiser , Schweinsteiger , Pizarro , Götze

Head To Head

Worryingly for Barca, they have never beaten Bayern without Guardiola in charge.

The 44-year-old’s triumph over his current employers came at the Camp Nou in 2009 when Messi, Samuel Eto’o and Thierry Henry were all among the goals.

The most memorable games between the two sides, though, were played after Guardiola’s departure in 2013. Bayern stunned the footballing world by winning the first leg in Germany 4-0, before hammering home their advantage thanks to a 3-0 victory in Spain.

In total, there have been eight games between the teams, with Bayern leading 5-1 overall.

Paris Saint-Germain head to the Camp Nou for the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie on Tuesday night knowing that they face a major battle to remain in the competition.
A persuading 3-1 triumph for Barcelona in the opposite meeting a week ago has put the hosts immovably in the driving seat, despite the fact that the Parisians have as of now demonstrated this season that they ought not be composed off at any stage.

 TEAM NEWS:

Andres Iniesta is available for Barcelona's Champions League quarter-final second leg against Paris Saint-Germain after suffering a back injury in the first leg in France. The midfielder was stretchered off in that match but he returned to training on Monday, as did defender Jeremy Mathieu. Brazilian international Dani Alves should also play after suspension.

PSG captain Thiago Silva misses out after failing to recover in time from the thigh strain he sustained in the first encounter on Wednesday, while the visitors will also be without injured midfielder Thiago Motta and the banned Serge Aurier.

However, coach Laurent Blanc will have the likes of skipper Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marco Verratti available after both missed the first leg through suspension.

Possible lineups:

Barcelona: Ter Stegen; Alves, Piqué, Mascherano, Alba; Rakitić, Busquets, Iniesta; Suárez, Messi, Neymar.
• Out: Vermaelen (hamstring)

Paris: Sirigu; Van der Wiel, David Luiz, Marquinhos, Maxwell; Verratti, Cabaye, Matuidi; Cavani, Ibrahimović, Pastore.
• Out: Silva (hamstring), Motta (hamstring), Aurier (suspended)

Barcelona vs PSG Tips:

Barcelona is still battling Real Madrid in the domestic championship now that qualification in the semifinals of the Champions League is virtually assured. They take on Valencia over the weekend before locking horns with city rivals Espanyol and that's why they won't go for a lopsided victory over the French side. A narrow margin triumph would be more than enough to appease the fans.

PSG will have Ibrahimovic back in the starting formation as he returns from suspension and this gives them a decent chance of scoring in Barcelona. Three strikers will be sent upfront from the very beginning, hoping to take the lead early but the emphasis will be on bolstering their defenses.

Weekend results:

Barcelona 2-0 Valencia CF (Suárez 1, Messi 90+4)
OGC Nice 1-3 Paris (Bodmer 45+1; Pastore 39 63, Cavani 69pen)

Atletico Madrid team news:
Atletico coach Diego Simeone has positive injury news, with centre-forward Mario Mandzukic returning to training after an ankle problem and midfielder Raul Garcia expected to take part in Monday's session after recovering from a fractured arm. Mandzukic looks most likely to start, displacing Fernando Torres in the XI. At the back Diego Godin has sat out Atletico's last two La Liga games with a hamstring issue, but the key centre-half seems sure to start on Tuesday.

Real Madrid team news:
For the first time in months, boss Carlo Ancelotti has a full squad to choose from. Welsh winger Gareth Bale is back training with the squad after missing Saturday's 3-0 La Liga win over Eibar with a minor muscle problem. Centre-back Pepe returned from his hamstring injury by coming through 30 minutes against Eibar unscathed. Midfielder Sami Khedira and left-back Fabio Coentrao are also fit again but seem unlikely to feature at the Vicente Calderon -- where both started in Madrid's 4-0 defeat on their last visit in February.

Possible lineups:

Atlético: Oblak; Juanfran, Miranda, Godín, Gámez; Arda Turan, Tiago, Suárez, Koke; Griezmann, Mandžukić.

Madrid: Casillas; Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo; Kroos, Modrić, James; Bale, Benzema, Ronaldo.

Manchester United and Manchester City meet in the Premier League at Old Trafford this weekend.

Team News:

Manchester United Striker Robin van Persie returned to full training on Wednesday, suggesting he will be in contention for a place in the squad on Sunday. Chris Smalling should be back involved after illness ruled him out against Aston Villa, but Jonny Evans remains suspended. With the team on a three-match winning run, Angel di Maria may have to continue to make do with a place among the substitutes.

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany is doubtful for Sunday's derby with a hamstring injury.

Kompany felt the muscle tighten during Monday's Barclays Premier League defeat at Crystal Palace and will undergo a fitness test.

Strikers Wilfried Bony (ankle/knee) and Stevan Jovetic are also out, as is defender Dedryck Boyata (knee).

Possible Line-up:

Man Utd :
David de Gea, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Antonio Valencia, Daley Blind, Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini, Ander Herrera, Juan Mata, Ashley Young, Wayne Rooney .

Man City:
Joe Hart, Gaël Clichy, Vincent Kompany, Eliaquim Mangala, Pablo Zabaleta, Fernandinho, James Milner, Samir Nasri, David Silva, Yaya Touré, Sergio Agüero

 MATCH FACTS:

PAST MEETINGS:

Manchester City (Aguero) 1-0 Manchester United, Premier League, November 2014

Manchester United 0-3 Manchester City (Dzeko 2, Toure), Premier League, March 2014

Manchester City (Aguero 2, Toure, Nasri) 4-1 Manchester United (Rooney), Premier League, September 2013.

Manchester United

Since losing to Manchester City on 2 November, the Red Devils have suffered just two defeats in 21 league games (W15, D4).
United have claimed 40 points at home - more than any other Premier League side.
They are chasing a sixth consecutive league win.
Wayne Rooney has 170 league goals for United. Only Denis Law (171), Jack Rowley (182) and Sir Bobby Charlton (199) have scored more.
Against Aston Villa, Angel Di Maria became the second player to reach 10 Premier League assists this season (after Cesc Fabregas).

Manchester City

City have lost their last three Premier League away games. A fourth defeat would represent their worst run on the road since a sequence of seven straight losses in 2006.
They have not kept a clean sheet away from home in eight league and cup matches since 13 December.
Sergio Aguero has five goals in six league games against Manchester United.
However, Aguero has only netted three times in his last 12 top-flight appearances - with two of those goals penalties.

Since it is increasingly clear that Borussia will not be able to reach European positions through the Bundesliga and it is absolutely certain that will not qualify for the Champions League next year, the importance of this match is evident as Borussia really wants to reach the quarterfinals. Although it can be said that they are significantly better compared to the first half of the season and the very beginning of the second half, it is again noticeable an easier crisis in Borussia’s game, this time in the attack. They have played four matches in a row in which they didn’t lose but they drew the last two matches.

It is interesting that they haven’t received a single goal in those four matches, namely they haven’t conceded a goal since the first leg of the CL round of 16 played in Turin, however, they have ever more difficulties to score goals and it is a worrisome trend. Therefore, we expect changes in that part of the team, while the defence is doing well its job and there will be certainly no changes. In the midfield the dilemma is between recently recovered Sahin and S. Bender, while in the offensive part of the midfield Mkhitaryan and Kagawa could move on the bench as the two of them is out of shape, while Oberellbogen and Blaszczykowski would step in instead.

Juventus
Retaining the Serie A title looks well within the grasp of Juventus who secured another vital three points this past weekend with a 0-1 win at Palermo, but the fans are demanding a Champions League run. They were Quarter Finalists two seasons ago, but Juventus were disappointingly knocked out at the Group Stage last season and now hold a narrow advantage over Borussia Dortmund as they head to Germany for an important Second Leg.

There have been some impressive performances from Juventus in the Champions League over the last three seasons, but also some really disappointing ones and it is hard to guess which Juventus teams turns up on Wednesday. They are unbeaten in their last 4 Champions League games, winning 3 of those, but Juventus had lost 4 straight and 5 of their last 6 away games in the competition. Juventus have ended that run with a 0-2 win at Malmo last time out, but this is a much bigger test of their credentials.

Juventus recently lost to Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia, which is their sole defeat in their last 26 games in all competitions, and the side also bounced back with consecutive 1-0 wins over Sassuolo and Palermo. They are unbeaten in their last 11 away games in all competitions, but Juventus had drawn 3 in a row before the victory this past weekend.

Andrea Pirlo will be hoping to return to the squad, while Andrea Barzagli has only recently returned. Martin Caceras has been ruled out with an ankle injury.

MANAGER QUOTES

Juergen Klopp: "We face the greatest challenge there is in football, to score against an Italian team which will advance with a 0-0 draw. Fact is Juve are experienced, very clever, in football terms good but not invincible. If you are in the last 16 and want to advance you need to play at least one exceptional game out of two. We did not do it in the first leg so hopefully we will do it tomorrow.

"We know how to be dangerous, we know how to score. We just have to use the right spaces, take the right decision. That was rare in the last two games. Juve will challenge us with their disciplined defence. But at the end of the day we don't need to win 9-0, just 1-0"

Massimiliano Allegri: "We start with a 2-1 advantage from the first leg. We know how difficult the game will be, but so do Borussia. We must do everything right, from every point of view. I hope it’ll be a good game. It’s unlikely to end 0-0, so we need two goals to go through. In the first leg we didn’t allow them a shot on goal, and Borussia scored because [Giorgio] Chiellini slipped, while we had several chances to score. We have to know what Borussia’s qualities are, they have great pace and pressing, we’ll have to make very few mistakes tomorrow and hit them where they have weaknesses.”

probable lineups

Borussia Dortmund: Weidenfeller; Kirch, Subotić, Hummels, Schmelzer; S Bender, Gündoğan; Błaszczykowski, Kampl, Reus; Aubameyang

Juventus: Buffon, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini, Lichtsteiner, Vidal, Marchisio, Pogba, Evra, Tevez, Morata

Like last season, Manchester City travel to Catalonia with a deficit to overturn. Like last season, they are unlikely to succeed.

Meanwhile,Barcelona progressed from last year’s tie by beating Manchester City in both legs, 2-1 at home and 2-0 away. This season, Barcelona won group F, winning their three home games in the progress, beating PSG 3-1, Apoel 1-0 and Ajax 3-1.

Team news

Sergio Busquets is out and will be Barcelona’s biggest loss for the second leg. Thomas Vermaelen is out injured but Luis Enrique has had to deal with that all season.

Manchester City will be without defender Gael Clichy, who was sent off in the first leg between the two sides.

Just minutes after City pulled a goal back to make the score 2-1 at the Etihad, Clichy picked up a second yellow card for a high tackle on Barcelona's Dani Alves.

 MANAGER QUOTES

Luis Enrique: "What is clear is that we are not taking anything for granted. We will be facing one of the favourites for the competition, for the title. We are still only halfway through the tie and have to play the return yet and looking at their players we can see they have the potential to make life difficult for us. They got back into the tie in the first leg despite our great start to the game. We are not taking anything for granted."

Manuel Pellegrini on future: "Roberto [Mancini] left the club for other reasons, not because he didn't win anything one year. It's not 'if you don't win, you're out'. Of course, winning trophies here is extremely important. I understand you can't just say, 'It doesn't matter, we'll come in fourth or fifth because we've got a long-term project'. But in the last four years this team has won two leagues, come second once, and won the FA Cup and the Capital One Cup. I have never felt the situation is that if I don't win I am out whatever happens."

Possible lineups

Barcelona: Ter Stegen; Alves, Piqué, Mascherano, Alba; Xavi, Rakitić, Iniesta; Suárez, Messi, Neymar.

Manchester City: Hart; Zabaleta, Kompany, Demichelis, Kolarov; Fernando, Fernandinho; Milner, Touré, Silva; Agüero.
